ourselves. As Adam and Eve found, either we obey God's laws which lead us to health and happiness or we disobey them and bring sickness and suffering upon ourselves. God's laws applied to Adam and Eve and they had to make a choice. Those same laws still stand and each of us must also make proper choices today if we are to find the best of health and happiness possible.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17

"Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."

My definitions of health and sickness are:

Health is having body, soul, and spirit in harmony with universal laws.

Sickness is having body, soul, and spirit out of harmony with the universal laws.

No one knows all the secrets of health and happiness. So, we must work with the knowledge that is currently known. The following list of laws are those I am aware of today that are essential for obtaining and maintaining relatively good health and happiness.

To have health, we must be healthy in all three divisions of our being. They are interrelated with one affecting the others.

Universal Laws of Health* for Body, Soul, and Spirit

1. Put God first in your life.

2. Maintain a balanced body structure each day while building normal structure.

3. Put nothing into your body except nutritious foods, clean air, and pure water.**

4. Eat a diet containing all the elements needed by the body.

5. Drink enough water to keep the urine clear and light amber.

6. Eat enough food with fiber to produce one or two soft bowel movements a day.

7. Obtain sufficient sunlight, rest, and sleep.

8. Maintain proper environmental temperature.

9. Do not indulge in self-pity. Set a constructive goal for each day and work toward it.

10. Think positively.

11. Keep trauma free.

12. Do not envy, steal, lie, or kill.

13. Exercise sensibly. Walk as much as possible each day.

14. Do not commit fornication, homosexual acts, or adultery.

15. Observe a day of rest from your labor each week.

16. Remove bitterness and hate from your heart. Forgive those who have hurt you.

17. Cleanse yourself by repenting of your sins and being baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

18. Be thankful each day for all the many blessings God has given you.

19. Love one another. Give your love unconditionally with actions.

20. Turn your faith in God into works for Him.

God's earthly son, Adam, became lost and his descendants were lost, but God's great love for mankind was clearly evident when He sent another Adam, His heavenly son Jesus, to earth to save us from our sins.

I Corinthians 15:45 "And so it is written. The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit."

I Corinthians 15:47

"The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven."

John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Man has been given the privilege, purchased by the blood of Jesus on the cross, to be born again and become children of the second Adam.

Hebrews 9:12

"Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Jesus is like a beacon showing man the way to health, and happiness. I am sure that He will continue revealing the mysteries of the universe until all sickness and suffering have been eliminated. The things that I have written about in this book make these words from the Bible much closer to reality.

Revelation 21:4

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

John 8:12

"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.'"

Service

The awesome beauty of the human body and the intricate organization of all its functional processes are evidences of the existence of the Almighty God.

Once we are able to comprehend this wonder--

How can we fail to believe?

How can we fail to obey?

How can we fail to serve?

Chapter 16

Workers For Jesus

St. Matthew 9:35-38

"And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

Then He said to His disciples, 'The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.'"

St. Matthew 9:35-38

My heart aches as I see the suffering in my family, friends, community, city, state, country and the world. I watch people rushing through life without knowing where they came from or where they are going. I see people never stopping long enough to smell the flowers or see this beautiful world that God has given to us. I watch them place values on material things, but missing entirely the value of health and love. I watch them denying the Creator and never once thanking God for their very breath that He has so lovingly given to them. I watch the hate between family members, between people within countries and  between people of different countries. I watch people searching frantically for happiness in all the wrong places. I listen to people complain about everything and they never stop to realize just how lucky they really are.

After learning what it is to suffer, I now want to change my life and do whatever I can to help others. I freely and willingly accept God's calling to serve Him. I now know that wealth has nothing to do with money. We are truly really rich when we have love and health in our lives. Neither of which can be purchased.

In 1969 when God called me into His service, I knew He had a purpose for my suffering and for my life. That purpose is now known to me and it is to establish a new church to serve Him by helping others. In 1975, he gave me a major tool to bring to the sick--the EDEUS HEALTH METHOD.

The WORKERS FOR JESUS will be a place where persons from all walks of life who want to serve our Lord Jesus Christ can turn their faith into works by working together to help the sick and suffering. There are many things that divide Christians, but there are also many things that unite us.

James 2:14-26

"What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Yea, a man may say, thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Workers For Jesus are Volunteers

Matthew 6:24

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and Mammon."

Transcending Competetive Boundaries

The sick are in great distress. Today the health organizations are in competition with each other. This is detrimental to the sick. There must be an organization that transcends competetive boundaries seeking only how best can health can health be brought to the people.

Today, I find myself in a very unique position:

1.

In my youth, I grew up in the mountains of Virginia. There I learned about herbs from my mother and grandmother.

2.

I also learned about "faith healing" from the Old Regular Baptist Church that I attended in my young years.

3.

As a Registered Nurse, I learned of the great medical profession, its medications and procedures.

4. As a sick person, I learned about the great Chiropractic profession.

5.

As a student of the Bible, I have learned how God's laws have been established for our own well being, and how His laws promote better health.

Because I have an understanding of these many factions of health care, I feel that I am in a very good position to work for noncompetitive health programs. There is a time and place for most all health knowledge and there is enough misery and sickness in the world to keep all health personnel busy for a lifetime.

Nondenominational

Today there are many different churches. There is not a working relationship between most of them. This is very detrimental to all. Some churches go to great length to denounce the others.

I believe that all Christians are united in Christ regardless what name they may call themselves. Certainly there are differences, but the things that bind Christians are far more important than the things that divide them.

Jesus gave the eleventh commandment to His followers at the time of the last supper:

St. John 13:34-35

"A new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another."

The Workers For Jesus is a separate, independent church from all the others, but it is only one part of the body of Christ. We invite persons of all faiths to come and work for the Lord with us.

Faith is the first step in being a Christian. It remains dead until it springs forth alive through works.

James 2:26

"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."

"Love One Another" Monthly Support Program

The health and educational services offered by the Workers For Jesus are given without charge. To be able to do this, it is necessary for the Workers For Jesus to raise financial support by other methods. One such method is the "Love One Another" Monthly Support Program.

We hope every man, women, and child will want to become a monthly supporter f the Workers For Jesus. No amount is too small. Whatever amount a person desires to give is greatly appreciated.

Checks should be made payable and mailed to:

Dear Readers:

Thank you for coming along with me and sharing my journey.

When I started writing this book, I thought it would be a short story. It turned out to be far more than I could ever have imagined. What I learned has changed my life. I hope it has also changed yours.

I wish you good health in all three divisions of your being: body, soul, and spirit!!

Finally, I would like to say:

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
