July, 2007 Report
Allow us to share our joys, concerns, and blesses that have been happening since the Lord blessed us. With little seed money we received from Youth Service Fund in America in America to conduct and establish outreach gospel mission early this year, the project has been a milestone for Deaf youth in Kenya as well as is significant and an exciting period for the whole Deaf community. At the beginning of the project the group was provided peewee room within the church premise by the Rev Mulongo for project implementation. We purchased all office equipment such as a computer, printer, digital camera, and stationery. We also further purchased at least 139 T-shirts and published with the name of our project as you can see on some of the photos. The two weeks basic Bible training was very overwhelmed but
equally successful because during the first two days, over 45 deaf youth
turned out. We had to limit the classes to 25 participants. How to interpret the Bible in Kenyan Sign Language conducted by
Rev. Joseph Thereafter, we conducted gospel outreach to different parts of the
deaf communities. They are as follows: Kambui deaf community So far, a total of 1,090 deaf youths have been reached since the project was established. In all locations, the Youths were well received and they were asked to revisit them. We did not successful manage to give all deaf t-shirts as they requested and hope to publish more in the future. Deaf Youth has been since the inception of this project been front key player in this first every significant project. During the three months of outreach services we witnessed that
