Darkness

All of my pain I take with me
Into this abyss into which I'm falling without end
This black hole filled with hate
Which gnaws eternally at my dreams

Sometimes a small ray of sunshine
Penetrates this frozen darkness
Germinating a ray of hope in my rosy heart
And making me forget this horrible reality

This light never shines long
Because the devil snatches it and carries away my soul
To his mysterious, stifling dwelling
I scream, no one hears me, I slander

Mission accomplished he emerges as the victor
Leaving me empty and disoriented
With the challenge: find the door to happiness
With neither signs nor clues, my defeat is signed and sealed

Nevertheless, I will go on until I no longer can
Facing all hardships with courage
I will find and avoid the temptations
And if I sign this defeat, it will be with my blood

The Eyes of a Child

In the eyes of a child
You can see everything, imagine anything
There dreams and reality are woven
What's true and what's not blend as one

In the eyes of a child
Life is an enchantment
That he regards with wonder
Constantly discovering new things

In the eyes of a child
Violence doesn't exist
There peace takes its first steps
And love grows step by step

In the eyes of a child
You can see all that is pure
He is without guile, without sins
There no shadow is cast upon this enlightened soul

When you look into a child's eyes
You rediscover that innocence you once knew
You retrieve that candor long since lost
Our heart swells with carefree joy as it was in the beginning

In the eyes of a child
Life is a flower that never wilts
But when his naivete is rubbed away
The gloomy side of life will then to him appear
