Christian Mission
for the Deaf Nigeria, [CMDN] is a
non-governmental and non-profit organization
founded by a deaf American, Dr. Andrew Foster.
It was founded in 1960 to assist deaf Africans.
Its mission is to serve God and help the growth
of His kingdom by promoting holistic deaf
education and Christian discipleship. Its
services also promote rights advocacy,
humanitarian services, income generation, and
development for deaf people and their families
in Nigeria.
One of CMDN’s
future projects is an organic farming vocational
training program. In this program, deaf students
can learn to skillfully raise vegetables and
fruits organically without any chemical
pesticides.
