Mission Hearts is
a privately-held, non-profit, non-governmental
organization (NGO) dedicated to serving deaf,
hard of hearing and disabled people, especially
after disasters. Mission Hearts serves all
people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity,
or gender. We believe that we serve to equip and
empower those we serve.
Our goal is to
provide specialized teams made up of deaf, hard
of hearing and hearing people. We are seeking
those with knowledge or the desire to work with
the deaf and disabled in times of disasters, or
in short and long-term mission assignments.
Mission Hearts
was founded on July 19, 2010 by Dee Mathes and
Nicole Zatzkin. It is headquartered in Lavaca,
Arkansas, USA. We welcome all volunteers
regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, gender,
deaf, hard of hearing or hearing. We believe
that each of us deaf, hearing, able and disabled
are capable of making significant contributions
to the lives of others, and by working together,
our contributions make our world a better place
to live.
We believe God
can use all of us, no matter who or where we
are.
