Heidi Rebeca Rauch Carrillo

Hello! My name is Heidi Rauch. I was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, 41 years ago. My father is German and my mother Venezuelan. I have one brother and one sister. My brother lives in Venezuela with my parents and my sister in Washington, D.C. Currently, I am living in Mexico, in a nice city called Puebla (120 Kilometers from Mexico City). I am married to a Mexican and have two sons: 3 and 10 years old. I am very proud of my family.

I studied Civil Engineering in Caracas, Venezuela. I learned English in the States, Canada and Barbados (my father, whenever he could, sent my sister and me to learn English in an English-speaking country). I learned German at school (Humboldt Schule, Caracas). Since 1997 I am working as a translator. It’s a great job! Most of the time, I have to read interesting material and translate it. I joined Deaf Friends international about one year ago. I am also very proud to collaborate in this wonderful project.
