My Best Friend

Thanks for being a friend I could always count on.

Thanks for leaning your shoulder out for me to cry on.

Thanks for making me laugh when I was wearing a frown.

Thanks for always being there when I was down.

I never had a friend that I loved as much as you.

Don't look at me as crazy, I'm telling the truth.

At times I thought my world was coming to an end,

You were there for me -- time and time again.

You know me better than anyone.

You know you've been there when I had no one else.

I hope my friendship is just as good as yours.

I hope you know if you need me I am here with open doors.

There were things I could not have survived --

...if you had not been there for me.

There are things you could only see.

So, once again I am thanking you for all you've done for me.

Thanks for being here when I needed you to be.

I mean it, I am being sincere.
