LOVE
AGAINST HATE
Love is the cement of life,
Death its destroyer.
Violence is its virus,
And friendship its cure.
What is life without love?
Only a plant without water.
Why do so much violence
And hate rule undivided?
I would like so much to change this world
and make it full of love.
But I am not strong enough,
I'm just a speck in this universe.
The world offers us so much beauty,
So many magnificent sceneries.
But a sole bomb can destroy it all,
And leave only ruins and misery.
I would give everything I own
To make of this world a paradise
Where everyone loved eachother,
Where life would be as in my dream.
Why do we wage war,
Since we are all going to die one day?
We belong to this life,
But she does not belong to us.
Men are victims,
Not of destiny but themselves,
Of their cruelty and jealousy,
Of their egoism and barbary.
The world has two faces, a pink one,
Seen by the innocent eyes of a child.
And a black one, the dark side,
The expression of hate and evil.
Go and live your life as you wish,
But think about that of others as well.
Laugh, eat and drink but think,
Think of the sorrow and hunger of others.
