I wrote this poem on September 11, 2001.
THE SILENCE OF FEAR
An invincible hatred,
a rumbling of terror,
children's cry,
pain fragments,
anguish, anger,
innocent victims,
lives cancelled for ever.
Only pictures survive,
and flowers,
and bitter tears.
The world stops,
hatred can win one battle
but never a war.
An invisible enemy
attacks the human kind.
My Lord,
be next to each of us in this time
of terrible loneliness.
and of endless anguish.
I hope you like this poem.
