A Joke!

One day, a student went to challenge his teacher for being marked down. 

This conversation went on:

STUDENT: Sir, I got the question one correct but you marked me wrong.

TEACHER: I marked you wrong because you wrote one plus one is equal to four (1+1=4).

STUDENT: But sir, it's four of course.

TEACHER: Can you prove why you're saying one plus one is equal to four instead of two?

STUDENT: Actually, in the olden days one plus one is equal to two (1+1=2). But nowadays, due to the introduction of Value Added Tax (VAT) and the yearly reading of the budgets and the rapid increase in petroleum products and other items, I thought one plus one (1+1) increase to four because of the Value Added Tax.
