BUBBLE IN THE WIND
by
Gladys Jimenez

A long time ago when I was nine years old, I went to the store.  I bought one jar of bubbles. I went home and blew some bubbles.  Some popped and some floated.  I blew one big bubble and jumped inside.  I became smaller.

I floated high in the sky.  I saw many colors, tiny kids, tiny people, tiny cars, tiny houses, and tiny trees.  The wind blew the bubble.  I shouted to the people, but they couldn't hear me.  I shouted again and again.  I was afraid.  I didn't want my bubble to pop.

I want a parachute so if my bubble pops, I will be safe.  I looked all around the city.  I saw big houses, big people, big cars, big kids, and big trees.  OH NO!  My bubble was floating down!  I shouted but no one can hear me.  I saw my brother and shouted again.  He couldn't hear me!

Then my bubble popped.  I fell from the air and was lying on the grass.  I was very sad my bubble was gone.  I wanted a new bubble.

I went to the store and bought more bubbles.  I blew many bubbles.  I blew one very large bubble.  I did not want to be inside the bubble so I ran and hid under the house.  The bubble popped and made a loud noise.  My brother came to see what the noise was.  I told my brother what happened.

We blew more bubbles and watched them float around.  Then my brother blew a huge bubble.  He jumped inside. The bubble started to float away.

OH NO!  Not again!
